There is more than enough.
There is more than enough for everyone. Showing love to one does not mean others are neglected. It does not mean there is not enough for you, we are so provided for. This week I have said more than once to Ezekiel "Not everything is about you." I got to thinking how rude and absolutely not true that statement was. It can be all about him and Escher and me all at once, because there is more than enough. I am able to divide my time while filling all our tanks because the energy I am giving, is not coming from my personal reserve, it's coming from the divine and energy is endless, pure and all love. This is a lesson that took a long time to learn, not giving myself away. TRUSTING the universe. Learning that there is enough. Love is divisible, not selective. There is enough for everyone.
Reading this excerpt from The Egg by Andy Weir opened my eyes to this.
"I looked you in the eye. “The meaning of life, the reason I made this whole universe, is for you to mature.”
“You mean mankind? You want us to mature?”
“No, just you. I made this whole universe for you. With each new life you grow and mature and become a larger and greater intellect.”
“Just me? What about everyone else?”
“There is no one else,” I said. “In this universe, there’s just you and me.”
You stared blankly at me. “But all the people on earth…”
“All you. Different incarnations of you.”
“Wait. I’m everyone!?”
“Now you’re getting it,” I said, with a congratulatory slap on the back.
“I’m every human being who ever lived?”
“Or who will ever live, yes.”
“I’m Abraham Lincoln?”
“And you’re John Wilkes Booth, too,” I added.
“I’m Hitler?” You said, appalled.
“And you’re the millions he killed.”
“I’m Jesus?”
“And you’re everyone who followed him.”
You fell silent.
“Every time you victimized someone,” I said, “you were victimizing yourself. Every act of kindness you’ve done, you’ve done to yourself. Every happy and sad moment ever experienced by any human was, or will be, experienced by you.”
What a beautiful idea. We are one of One, we are everyone. It IS all about you, that's exactly what life is about. You deserve love and there is more than enough. Every time anyone told you "It's not always about you" was WRONG. I was wrong.
I look forward to learning more about the universe and expanding my vocabulary with things like "I will help you in 5 minutes....I will absolutely do that for you.....you matter.....there is more than enough of me for you, Ezekiel...."
Give yourself extra love and grace today, because there is more than enough.
